Digital Knowledge Services Lead

We are seeking a visionary Digital Knowledge Services Lead to shape the data and AI-driven knowledge management future for the LEGO Foundation.
Internally, you’ll lead our transformation, enhancing culture by improving knowledge flow for better decision-making, collaboration, and sharing. Externally, you’ll strengthen our Learning through Play knowledge repository collectively with grantees and peer foundations.

Background context
The LEGO Foundation funds and enables research institutions, civil societies, non-profit and multi-lateral organisations, who share our core value that Learning through Play is critical for children to achieve their full potential.
We operate in diverse settings including Early Childhood Development (ECD), Digital EdTech, Education in Emergencies (EiE), formal education systems, and parenting programmes, especially in vulnerable settings.
As the Digital Knowledge Services Lead, you will initially be an individual contributor reporting to the VP of Learning through Play. This role could potentially develop into a Head of Digital Knowledge Services or a similar business leadership role once we establish mature vision, strategy, goals and development roadmap.
Within the organisation you will work closely with the Learning through Play Team, as well as the Team Leads, and the executive leadership team of the LEGO Foundation. Externally, you will have close contact with grantees, our partner organisations, and stakeholders of the LEGO Group ecosystem.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop Knowledge Strategies and Vision – Develop and implement groundbreaking knowledge management strategy that aligns with our mission and propels us into the future. take full ownership of the strategy and roadmap for AI-enabled knowledge management at the LEGO Foundation
- Leverage Cutting-edge Technology - Make informed decisions to integrate AI, machine learning, and other advanced technologies to optimize knowledge management processes and drive innovation.
- Foster Collaboration – Cultivate a collaborative environment where knowledge flows freely across teams and departments, empowering everyone to contribute and learn
- Innovate Knowledge Products and Services – Own the roadmap and lead the development of knowledge products, services and solutions that empower internal teams and external partners. Oversee the optimization and growth of use cases
- Change Management – Lead change that drives lasting cultural change, process improvements and impact. Has professional toolkit for setting practices, processes and systems that become team norms and culture. Track record of effectively managing and influencing not just direct reports, but rest of organisation.
- Stay Ahead of Trends - Stay at the forefront of digital trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to integrate innovative tools such as AI, automation, and machine learning to enhance our digital knowledge platforms and services
- Measure Impact – Oversee the collection, organisation and analysis of data to support knowledge management services or projects, including the development of taxonomies and knowledge infrastructure.
- Champion Continuous Learning – Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing, ensuring that our organization remains agile and forward-thinking.

- Passionate about Technology: Experience and background integrating latest technology platforms to strengthen organization effectiveness (including use of AI-enabled tools, or data analytics and reporting on content performance, project or product management tools)
This position is based 3-days a week in Billund, Denmark at the headquarters of the LEGO Foundation (and the broader LEGO Ecosystem). Shortlisting and interviews will be held on an ongoing basis. This advert will be removed when we have suitable candidates.
