The Role – Lead the People & Culture Agenda
As Head of HR, you will be a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO, Sidsel Marie Kristensen. You will take the lead in developing and implementing our people and culture strategy, ensuring we continue to attract, develop, and retain top talent in a lean and high-performing organization.
This role is a unique opportunity for a strategic and hands-on HR leader to drive impact in a globally recognized philanthropic foundation while fostering an engaging and purpose-driven workplace.
As Head of HR, you will have the following duties and responsible:
Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and execute an HR strategy that fosters a mission-driven culture, enhancing employee performance, engagement, and well-being.
- Lead talent management, succession planning, and people performance while streamlining HR operations to align with the LEGO Foundation’s goals.
HR Business Partnering & Organizational Development
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing strategic support on organizational structure, workforce planning, and change management.
- Optimize and simplify HR policies and processes to support business needs while ensuring compliance and best practices.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure strong alignment with The LEGO Group, KIRKBI, and other key stakeholders on HR-related matters.
- Work closely with leadership teams to enhance organizational effectiveness and implement scalable people initiatives.
Talent Management & Employee Experience
- Oversee recruitment, employee engagement, and retention efforts to build a thriving and diverse workforce.
- Manage performance processes, rewards, and HR policies to create a positive employee experience and drive DE&I efforts.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an experienced HR leader who thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, structured, and passionate about people, culture, and leadership development.
To be successful in this role, you should be/have:
- Fluent in Danish and English (written and oral).
- Relevant master’s degree in HR, business administration, communication, or a related field.
- Broad HR expertise, covering strategy, business partnering, talent development, compliance, and employee engagement.
- Experience working within large and complex organizations, ideally with a social mission.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a lean HR setup, balancing strategic priorities with hands-on execution.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, engaging effectively from board level to employees.
- Experience in implementing HR strategies, processes, and policies in an independent and structured manner.
- Familiarity with HR best practices and compliance in both Danish and international contexts.
Furthermore, you should have the following personal qualifications:
- Visionary and strategic mindset, with the ability to develop and execute structured plans.
- Proactive and solution-oriented, capable of navigating complexity and ambiguity with confidence.
- Empathetic and perceptive, combining strong relationship-building skills with personal impact.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, engaging at all levels.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, ensuring HR strategies are data-driven and impactful.
