Strategy Manager
Do you want to shape the LEGO Foundation’s strategic direction and governance to advance children’s learning and wellbeing?
We are looking for a Strategy Manager to steward and continuously sharpen the LEGO Foundation’s strategy – always with one goal in mind: better outcomes for children globally.
Working closely with the COO and the Leadership Team, you will contribute to strategic focus, alignment, and delivery across the organisation. You will report directly to the COO and serve as a partner in enabling high-quality decision-making.
Shaping our strategic direction and governance processes
You will contribute to shaping and continuously refining the LEGO Foundation’s overall strategy and key strategic priorities. This includes conducting rigorous analysis, enabling clear prioritisation, and contributing to effective cross-organisational alignment.
You will coordinate Board and Leadership Team meetings, delivering high-quality materials, structured agendas and decision-ready inputs that enable focused and productive discussions. As a strategy partner to the COO, you will provide timely analysis, clear recommendations and executive-level communication that enhance leadership effectiveness and organisational focus.
Your key responsibilities include:
Contributing to strategy development: Developing strategy and supporting its translation into action across teams through research, analysis, strategic framing, and prioritisation.
Driving high-priority projects: Providing strategic and operational support across priority initiatives, including executive-level communication, project management, collaboration across the LEGO ecosystem, and continuous improvement of the Foundation’s operating model.
Coordinating Board meeting preparation with the COO: Orchestrating pre-alignment and delivering precise, decision-ready materials and pre-reads to ensure no surprises and clear choices.
Organising and supporting Leadership Team meetings: Setting agendas, coordinating and developing high-quality pre-reads, and facilitating selected leadership-anchored processes such as annual priority and target setting.
A structured strategist and trusted partner to senior leaders
We are looking for a strategically and analytically minded colleague motivated by improving outcomes for children globally. You bring structure and rigour, cut through the noise of complex topics and thrive in results-oriented environments where clarity, quality, and impact matter.
You are comfortable working closely with senior leaders and navigating across teams and organisational boundaries. You connect insights, people and processes in ways that create alignment, elevate decision-making and keep the Foundation focused on what matters most for children.
Your qualifications
A master’s degree in social sciences, business administration or a related field. Experience from the education sector is an advantage.
4–6 years of relevant experience, ideally from management consulting or a similar strategy-focused environment, combined with experience from philanthropy, non-profit management or government.
Demonstrated strategic and analytical capability, including experience supporting strategy development and implementation, translating insights into actionable recommendations, and contributing to operating model development or comparable transformation initiatives.
Demonstrated advisory and communication skills, including partnering with senior leaders and explaining complex topics clearly across various formats.
Experience coordinating collaborative processes and delivering high-quality outputs efficiently across diverse stakeholder groups.
Your personal qualities
You bring high professional standards, structure, and analytical depth to strategy and governance processes, with the ability to create clarity in complex circumstances.
You are self-driven and proactive, with a strong sense of accountability and sound judgement. You are outcome-focused and precise, work well independently, and excel at collaborating effectively across teams.
You get things done, collaborate effectively, and influence diverse stakeholders with confidence and respect.
You demonstrate resilience and determination while remaining humble and fair.
